The 4Cs
The 4C’s refers to the carat, color, clarity, and cut of your diamond — important factors in determining a diamond’s quality and appearance.
CARAT
Typically the most important of the 4Cs for our clients, carat is the physical weight of a diamond. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams. The overall size of a stone can vary between cuts as some show their weight better than others, so your preferred carat weight may change from cut to cut.

COLOR
Color grading is based off the absence of color within a stone. While most clients go for colorless or near-colorless stones for a classic white look, warm and fancy color stones are beautiful in their own right as well.

CLARITY
Color grading is based off the absence of color within a stone. While most clients go for colorless or near-colorless stones for a classic white look, warm and fancy color stones are beautiful in their own right as well.

CUT
Clarity is the evaluation of both internal and external flaws within a stone. While flaws are common with lab and natural diamonds due to the high heat and pressure it requires to form them, some stones can have less flaws or even favorable, more hidden flaw locations than others.
